About Cafe Du Bey

A hidden gem coffee and specialty sandwich spot in a vibey garden that turns into a low-key wine spot in the evenings towards the end of the week. Great spot to walk up to any time in the best neighborhood in South Beach.

Located at 1330 18th St, Miami Beach, FL 33139, Cafe Du Bey operates as a coffee shop serving Miami Beach in Florida. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 7 am–4 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. My first time trying Cafe Du Bey! I came because my friend wanted to come for their free coco matcha. Since I don’t drink matcha, I ordered an iced chai with a shot of espresso and almond milk and it did not disappoint. I also ordered the fig & Brie sandwich that also has arugula and I added jamón serrano; it was great! I wish I would have taken pictures, but I was so hungry I ate it right away. I will definitely be back and will take some pictures of the food to update this review.

Cafe Du Bey is seriously a 10/10 all around! Food: 10/10 — the Pan de Cristal breads are INSANE. You really can’t get anything like them anywhere else, and their new updated menu updating both lunch & breakfast now, just put the cherry on top. Everything is made to order and just so fresh! You can really taste the fresh ingredients being used. Coffee & matcha: 10/10 — amazing quality coffee beans, never too acidic, and the matcha is always fresh, clean and perfectly balanced without being too sweet. Ambiance: 10/10 — the honor wine bar, European garden vibes and tranquil atmosphere make this such a special spot. Perfect to post up with a coffee, grab some food, get work done or just get creative. The whole space has such a creative energy. 🤍

This cafe is soooo cute. Ube Matcha was so refreshing and beef empanada was yummy too! I also ordered Hojicha and Vitello Tonnato for lunch. Vitello Tonnato was outstanding! So delicious and flavorful. I also loved that the cafe doesn’t play crazy loud music. Very pleasant and enjoyable environment with outdoor and semi-outdoor area. Love love love!

Café Du Bey completely surprised me. A lot of places with this kind of dreamy, tropical, fully outdoor setup don’t always get the coffee right. This one absolutely does. The space feels like you’ve been dropped into Costa Rica. Lush greenery, layered natural textures, eclectic décor that somehow all flows, and an energy that feels vibrant but grounded. It’s all outdoor, airy, and alive. You instantly want to stay awhile. They’re pulling a light roast, which you don’t see everywhere, and they execute it beautifully. Sherry walked us through the background of the coffee and the matcha with so much knowledge and pride. She made a perfect long black, clean and nuanced. The flat whites were balanced with silky texture, and we liked it so much we ordered a second cortado. That says everything. We also tried the chai matcha and the ube matcha, both smooth, vibrant, and not overly sweet. The chicken empanadas were fresh, clean, and satisfying without feeling heavy. Huge shoutout to Sherry for elevating the entire experience. Great coffee, thoughtful service, and a magical outdoor vibe. This place delivers!! More on social media: @ratedbymaryam
